A lotta comics.
The end of the year isn’t being good to me, either physically or mentally. Emotionally? Well, we’ll have to see who is still around when 2024 decides to roll in, whether I want it to or not. Did you know it’s now December? I’m like one of those dorky Twitter accounts who posts, “Huwhat? It’s December? I thought it was July?” and gets 24,000 Likes on it. Except for real. I can’t believe it’s here and I feel as though I’ve done nothing.
Still have some agents I want to pitch. Books I want to start reading. Books I want to start writing. Books I need to finish editing.
But I don’t think they’re going to let me.
So instead, these are a few of the books I’ve speed read with my limited time over the last several weeks. Comics, when done right, can be read in the span of an hour and thought about for the next few days. These are, thankfully, books that have provided me those longstanding benefits. The Geoff Johns and co. GREEN LANTERN run in particular is something I’m using to keep my spirits high in these last few weeks of the year. I’ll elaborate more in my next one. But, for now…
Green Lantern – Rebirth (Amazon)
Green Lantern Vol. 1 – No Fear (Amazon)
Green Lantern Vol. 2 – Revenge of the Green Lanterns (Amazon)
Green Lantern Vol. 3 – Wanted: Hal Jordan (Amazon)
Batman Vol. 8 – Cold Days (Barnes & Noble)
Batman Vol. 9 – The Tyrant Wing (Barnes & Noble)
