Hello and good afternoon.

The first of the new PSP games has come in. Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles. I didn’t get super into the Castlevania worlds and lore or games until the Netflix show, so it feels exciting getting to see where all the imagery actually came from. So far, the game is punishing me mercilessly, what with it being a game made in the time when video games were supposed to be DIFFICULT with a capital ‘D,’ but I kind of like it. It’s a great way to flip off my brain in-between work sessions.

Speaking of.

I’ve gotten up at 5am most days this last week to work on the Project NESS Revise & Resubmit. An hour may not seem like much, before I have to get the rest of the family up and going, but an hour is an hour and something is always better than nothing. After my almost mental breakdown, there was no more time to waste. The work needs to get done. We’re doing almond milk lattes for work and coffee for the remainder of the morning because the Nespresso is faster when I wake up and I have four kids so don’t hate me too much for using it.

PROJECT UPDATE:

#AMQUERYING – Nothing is going out presently. Not until I finish the edits needed for Project NESS.

NESS – We finished fixing the opening, and now we’re reviewing the subsequent chapters until the needed addition of a brand new Chapter 12. That’s where the more serious work will begin, as inserting a new segment of story to one I started nearly 5 years ago feels strange, but I’m sure I can do it.

CURRENTLY LISTENING: Since they don’t have an official YouTube page…

CURRENTLY READING: El Niño by Pam Muñoz Ryan (B&N)

It’s always a good day when I discover Ryan has a book out I haven’t read. I think she’s the kind of author I strive to write like? Clear, direct, with no fussing about (these books are for kids, after all), but still blending in that lyrical style that makes the read worthwhile.
