This is Lily the Cat.
Internet sensation and beloved star of the popular sitcom, “Hey, Have You Fed Me Yet?”
I have this old faux leather couch in my office I rarely get to use. As most parents will attest, to sit is to have the opportunity to sit. Any moment a child might need you for food, drink, bathroom assistance, or because something large and, most likely, glass just fell.
In my head I think I had this idea of sitting in my office with a book in the evenings. I even positioned a light right above the chair, clipped to the bookshelf, so it would give me the perfect ambience to read. Alas, stay-at-home dad gonna stay-at-home dad, so I don’t get to use it as much.
Lily gets it. She’s sleeping right now. Judging you. Judging us.
PROJECT UPDATE:
#AMQUERYING – BIANCA is still loaded up to go out, but I haven’t sent it to any agents this week. Nor Project NESS. I still want to send them out to agents, but I’ve been a little preoccupied…
NESS R&R – The Revise & Resubmit is going well. Started a brand new Field Notes to copy down what the literary agent suggest. Broke those notes down into their key elements. Now, I’m trying to extrapolate tangible action from them. If they said “this,” then what do they want me to do? How do I enact that? It’s easy for us to watch a movie and say that it wasn’t good, but a quick game to play is “What would YOU do to fix it?” That’s where I’m at.
CITY – Still on pause. Hoping to resume the first draft, but the R&R kind of took over.
CURRENTLY LISTENING: Almost done with the Proud Mode playthrough of the first Kingdom Hearts game (essentially Hard Mode) and the boys are still into it. Every moment, every fight, every sad scene, they feel it. I love it.
It’s reeeeeeeally hard not to just roll into the next few games. I need to space these out.
CURRENTLY READING: Final Crisis by Grant Morrison, J.G. Jones, Doug Mahnke, and others (B&N)
Can’t do a Grant Morrison Batman re-read without also reading their superhero magnum opus.

Thanks for reading,
