STATUS – 2.2.2025 –

Hello and happy February. Crazy we’re already here, since January lasted 360 days. Madness how time fluctuates when there’s seeming chaos on the front of our minds every single day.

But you’re here to look at pretty notebook pictures and to calm down. We’ll move past all that.

The Featured Image is my current daily notebook setup. The Disneyland one is the main Bullet Journal and I write in it every day, using it to keep track of what I’ve done but also what I’d like to get done. There’s no habit trackers, save for my daily water intake (I am routinely under-hydrated, it appears), and it used to go with me everywhere….

The LOCHBY Pocket Journal, in the top left, is new. I’ll report on how its going in a few weeks time. I’m really optimistic about this new system, so fingers crossed. Keep in mind most of these notebooks are empty as I just started them yesterday, but by the end of the month we’ll see what they look like.

And then the one with the Poké Ball on the cover is a leather cover over a faux-Moleskine from Christmas a few years ago. It’s got durable paper quality and fit, so, there we go. Picked up the cover at a Phoenix Comic Con-adjacent event a few years ago. In the winter? I think it was called Fan Fest?

Either way, this is how we’re working for now.

PROJECT UPDATE:

#AMQUERYING – NESS got another full request, this time coming off a partial. That was exciting. Beyond exciting. It lets me know that, even if I don’t get signed, I’m doing something right. My writing, my pitch, my synopsis, my ideas, my online presentation, is doing SOMETHING. I just need to keep doing that.

BIANCA – This is SO close to being done I can see the finish line ten steps in front of me. The Synopsis just needs those last few branches trimmed and I need to review the pitch a couple more times, as it’s already written. That’s on the docket for the day. I want this done TODAY.

CITY – This bums me out that I wasn’t able to finish outlining this story in a notebook to know if it works or not. January took a lot of time and mental energy I already don’t have in large supplies. So we’re moving the deadline to the end of February and working as hard as we can.

CURRENTLY LISTENING: I have a playlist on Spotify called “Bob’s Sad Girl Music” and it’s no joke one of my favorite playlists to go to at any given time. This is on it.

I don’t know why it took me so long to just order this whole series. I got a the first 8 mini volumes (back when they used to do that) in a box set, but never got the remaining 16. Now I have all 9 FULL, COMPLETE volumes and am going to read them all this week and remember where I came from and where I am now.
